Elle a accompli une formation de technicienne chimiste, puis un dipl\u00f4me de biologie\/g\u00e9n\u00e9tique mol\u00e9culaire \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Bielefeld, a obtenu son doctorat en biologie cellulaire \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de B\u00e2le et son habilitation aux Universit\u00e9s de Zurich et de B\u00e2le en science des animaux de laboratoire. Elle est actuellement charg\u00e9e de cours \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de B\u00e2le. Elle a travaill\u00e9 auparavant chez Sandoz\/Novartis Pharma en tant que cheffe de laboratoire dans le domaine des animaux transg\u00e9niques et \u00e0 l\u2019Institut des animaux de laboratoire de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Zurich. Depuis 2013, elle est membre du r\u00e9seau des d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9-e-s suisses \u00e0 la protection des animaux et en tant que pr\u00e9sidente de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 suisse pour l\u2019\u00e9tude des animaux de laboratoire (SGV\/SSEAL), elle si\u00e8ge au comit\u00e9 directeur de la FELASA (Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations).
