Onze hautes \u00e9coles, Interpharma, la Protection Suisse des Animaux PSA et l\u2019Office f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire et des affaires v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaires (OSAV) contribuent au 3RCC. Ses objectifs sont la promotion de projets de recherche 3R de haute qualit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e9laboration d\u2019une strat\u00e9gie de formation initiale et continue bas\u00e9e sur les 3R ainsi que la mise en place d\u2019une strat\u00e9gie de communication professionnelle. Le 3RCC donne acc\u00e8s \u00e0 toutes les actrices et tous les acteurs concern\u00e9-e-s aux informations actuelles sur les 3R et sur les alternatives \u00e0 l\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation animale. Le centre propose ses services aux autorit\u00e9s, aux institutions d\u2019enseignement et de formation ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 d\u2019autres cercles int\u00e9ress\u00e9s. En outre, il surveille les progr\u00e8s accomplis en Suisse dans ces domaines. Avant la cr\u00e9ation de ce centre national, la Fondation Recherches 3R a soutenu et encourag\u00e9 pendant plus de 30&nbsp;ans des projets de recherche 3R. Depuis le d\u00e9but, la fondation \u00e9tait financ\u00e9e \u00e0 parts \u00e9gales par la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration et Interpharma. En 2021, le gouvernement suisse a lanc\u00e9 le Programme national de recherche \u00abAdvancing 3R \u2013 animaux, recherche et soci\u00e9t\u00e9\u00bb (PNR&nbsp;79) pour acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019applications 3R.
